1st Waitara Cubs to Police Remembrance Day ceremonies
It was an honour and a pleasure to get to take some 1st Waitara Cub Scouts to the Police Remembrance Day ceremonies in the Domain today. The weather wasn’t on our side, we had a few last minute sick but it was still a very moving ceremony.
There were cubs from Waitara, Normanhurst & Hornsby Heights and some Scouts and Venturers from Hornsby Heights also so between 30-40 in total.
We formed a guard of honour while there was a formal police band and march and then the Premier and NSW Governor came through our guard of honour and spoke to some of the cubs. After the speeches, prayers etc, cubs from the 3 groups and 1 scout all got to go up together and lay a wreath also on the Police Remembrance Wall.
